Give your skin a flawless canvas for makeup with a face primer that preps your face for smooth, soft and radiant all-day-wear. Key to the application of primer is ensuring you apply it before foundation so that you can enjoy long-lasting results that minimise imperfections and maximise your complexion.
What is primer makeup?
A primer is designed to create the perfect base for your foundation, just as foundation is the perfect base for powders. Extending the longevity of your makeup, enhancing youthful picture-perfect skin and providing a barrier between your makeup and pores, are just some of the benefits to adding primer to your makeup routine. With many different types of primers you can colour correct, illuminate, hydrate and stay sun-safe, to ensure your skin is kept looking its best.
What are the different types of primers?
Hydrating Primer – Enjoy natural-looking radiance that enhances your glow with the Armani beauty Luminous Silk Hydrating Primer. Say goodbye to dry, dull skin and instead keep skin feeling refreshed and hydrated for 48 hours. Craft the perfectly hydrated base for smooth application of makeup without having to worry about dryness or flaking throughout the day.
Primer with SPF – Protect your skin from within with a primer that offers UV protection, smooths and brightens the complexion, and creates the perfect base for long-lasting makeup. With Armani beauty’s UV Master Primer you can choose between SPF30 and SPF40 for a primer that fights against UVA and UVB damage, whilst also offers a soft glow that hydrates skin for up to 12 hours.
Colour Correcting Primer – Prone to red, tired or dull skin? Capture the true essence of flawless and balance your skin tone with a colour correcting primer that refines the appearance of fine lines, pores and mattifies the skin’s surface. Try Armani beauty’s Fluid Master Primer for a long-lasting even skin tone that you can rely on, and with a mattifying formula this makes the perfect primer for oily skin.
How do you apply primer?
After you’ve cleansed and moisturised your skin, a primer is used before you apply your makeup. Using fingertips, with light pressure, apply a small amount of product to the centre of your face and work outwards toward your hairline in upwards strokes. Ensure the primer is left to melt into the skin for 10 seconds before applying foundation for optimal results.
